TelephoneOffice telephones are for business use only. For calls outside the university first dial a zero, for internal University phonecalls only last four digits are required. Work-related international calls should be made with the help of a cheap provider. Please check for instance the website www.televergelijk.nl to find the cheapest provider. An example of a cheap provider is: teledump Inexplicably high telephone bills may be investigated and charged to the person responsible. FaxThe fax machine is located in the secretariat. The number is: +31 (0)30 253 5937. For sending a fax to a number outside the university you have to add a 0. Inside the university only the last four digits are needed. The fax machine can be used during the opening hours of the secretariat. Outside office hours the fax machine (last digits 5787) on the first floor of the Minnaert building (room 121) can be used. Incoming mail is distributed twice a day. Check your pigeonhole regularly to collect your mail. Outgoing mail can be put in the black box below the pigeon-holes or in the black box at the secretariat. Business mail is stamped by the university, on private mail you have to put your own stamps. For internal mail to other institutes, departments inside Utrecht University special envelopes are available (ask the secretariat). ComputerComputers and monitors are all registered and cannot be moved to other offices without consulting the manager. In case of hardware problems notify the manager. For software support, servers, etcetera, a request can be filed at the Servicedesk. Network printers are located in the printer rooms on the third (316) and fourth floor (425).
